I haven't gotten my hair highlighted since my wedding... 18 years ago. Claimed I never would, because mom never did. But I gave in, after being called a brunette one too many times. I'm a blonde, goddammit! I did my research and was delighted to see a well-priced, multiple-5-star-review place a short walk from home. I wanted extremely subtle - for people to say "your hair looks great" but not "oh, wow, did you get highlights?" And I got exactly what I asked for! Luba was great, and the salon, warm and welcoming. I can't recommend Park Slope Hair and Makeup enough. I needed hair and makeup done for an important event and reached out to Luba pretty last minute, immediately she connected with me and reshuffled her schedule to accommodate me first thing in the morning, and rearranged other clients all to fit me in within a tight time table, all before her salon opened. The entire time Luba was incredibly attentive, professional, and made me feel comfortable. The hair and makeup was beyond my expectations, held up 8+ hours through a hot humid day, and I had many compliments and the price was very reasonable. I can't recommend Luba enough for going above and beyond, give Park Slope Hair and Makeup a try, you won't be disappointed!!
